Let’s talk Valentine’s Day! I used to regard this Hallmark holiday as an “obligation” day of love. Whether I was single or attached, I thought love should be given everyday anyway so what’s the point? However, with little ones to model for in my classroom, being blessed with my own little forever Valentine, and the hateful state of the world these days, my mind has changed to “why not?” So, how about we redefine and expand our minds to adjust Valentine’s as a day to treat and love your partners, your babies, your besties, and yourself!
And don’t forget the gift! After all, love is a verb you show and feel! The gift is a symbol and, as most things in my city, can be uniquely tailored for the locals.
