“Friendship is the sweetest form of LOVE!”

Where all my ladies at?! Before you celebrate with your sweetie don’t forget to spread some love to your girl squad! If you’re anything like me, my circle is small but my tribe is true! We support each other, inspire each other, speak the truth, and share laughs with libations! Every year, I usually enjoy planning a fun night out for my girls, but of course this year will require something a little more inventive! Looking for some ideas for your Galentine’s girls night in for 2021?! Here are my 5 sweet suggestions:

  1. Virtual Sip and Paint

This can be kept small and socially distanced in order to do safely in person, or virtually. Choose a group design and have one friend sketch on canvas for all, then drop off to participants, or decide on a design theme and each person create their own interpretation.. Supplies can be gotten individually at Michael’s Stores, Target, or even The Dollar Store! On Galentine’s night, pop your favorite bottle, talk, sip, paint, (6ft apart or across the internet) and enjoy!

2. Secret Galentine

Each friend will secretly choose the name of another in your friend circle. Set a spending limit, and even choose a gifting theme (wine, candle, bath/beauty products). Then, your secret Galentine will leave your special gift for you at your door on Galentine’s Day!

3. ZOOM dinner and a movie

This one requires a little bit more prep but promises to be lots of fun! First, agree upon a simple step and simple ingredient dish (a pasta or a homemade pizza for example) and email this to all participants. Set a ZOOM meeting time to chat and cook together virtually. Once the meal is complete and ready to eat, keep the virtual party going by turning on and starting an agreed upon movie simultaneously to watch together while enjoying your dinner and probably a cocktail. Word of advice…don’t invite your tardy friends! LOL Just kidding!

4. Bestie Scavengar Hunt

You can really get personal and creative here! The pictured cards are from playpartyplan.com and there are plenty of free printable or pre-made cards for purchase available online at sites such as Etsy.com and Pinterest. However, who knows your secrets, inside jokes, and memories better than you and your squad? Have 1 or 2 friends create the clues and relive these special shared memories through an individual scavenger hunt. Clues can be emailed for the hunt on Galentine’s morning and direct your gal pals to items that can be found indoors around the house or outdoors. Meet up at a specified time that night, safely or virtually, to show and count who found the most items on the list and have a little something special for the winner!

5. Gather and Chill (an elevated picnic)

Follow them on Instagram @gatherandchill

You arrive to a beautiful set up pre-prepared for you and a friend! A traditional picnic includes two hours for you and a guest, the blankets, pillows, and table, with flower arrangements and champagne bucket (you supply the bottle of your choice). You also get amazing charcuterie, water (still or sparkling), a customized message board, waste basket, and sanitizer! A perfect day for you and your bestie or just you and a few!
